Welcome to Damariscotta River Grill!
We offer seating on two levels as well as a smaller room which faces the river front. Please let us know if there are mobility issues with your group and we will be happy to seat you downstairs. In the peak of summer and on busy weekends we encourage reservations - especially if you have a preferred time or dining spot or are a large group. We do set aside a number of tables exclusively for walk-in guests. Our bar seating and bar high-tops are also for walk in guests - first come, first served. If you don’t have a reservation but wish to dine with us, we encourage you to come check in with the host - most walk-in guests can be accommodated at some point in the evening.

Our Pemaquid oysters are fresh from the river right outside our window. Our wine list is both award-winning and full of affordable favorites. If our servers haven’t learned your name, it’s only because you haven’t come for your second visit yet. Our cozy bar, nightly specials, and hearty portions will make this a place you want to visit again and again.

About the Owners
We’re Tim and Tamara, and we fell in love with this beautiful restaurant the first time we saw it.
After scouring Maine for a place to call our own, we came back to the area we’ve spent so much time in with family and friends. What time we could have saved if we had just looked here from the beginning! But it turns out our timing was perfect: Jean and Rick, the former owners were looking for the right folks to carry on the institution they had spent so many years on, and we felt an instant fit.
They nicknamed their concept ‘grown up comfort food,’ focusing on fresh ingredients, great value, classic techniques and all-from-scratch cooking. They built a following within the community and recruited highly talented kitchen and service professionals.
Yes, we got lucky. We feel blessed to have landed the opportunity to both carry on all that makes the Grill great and make it our own. We have a lot of love and decades of experience to commit to the DRG and we’re pouring our hearts into it every day.
