Winey Wednesdays At the Grill
Each Wednesday from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m., DRG Wine Director Sharon Hobson will open a special vintage and serve it to Winey Wednesday enthusiasts by the bottle or by the glass. The cost will change each week based on the selection, but there will be a nice variety to choose from. In addition, Sharon will be available for wine schmoozing and fascinating insights to enrich your experience.
Don't Miss "Painting Maine"
Our summer "Art at the Grill" exhibit, on display through August 8, is titled "Painting Maine" and features a collection of works from nine area artists who capture Maine's wild and rural landscapes, abundant flowers, ocean influences, and island life.
New Wine Passport Program
Our new wine program is designed to temp you to explore wines from around the world. Visit either the Damariscotta River Grill or the Anchor Inn and pick up your free wine passport. Then you have until September 15 to enjoy a glass of wine from each of 10 countries.
Each glass of eligible wine on your passport costs you only $5, regardless of the menu price (one glass of wine per country), and the program includes all wines served by the glass, including bubbly, ports and special offerings.
When you have sampled a glass of wine from each country and had all your flags punched, your completed passport earns you an instant reward and also will be placed in a drawing for a pair of Riedel wine glasses and a Riedel wine carafe. The winner will be notified on September 17.
Roots and Reggae by the Bay: Music for a Cause
The Grill is a proud sponsor of this year's Roots and Reggae by the Bay, an annual music festival that benefits The Damariscotta River Association, a non-profit community-supported land trust working to conserve critical land and water resources.
This year's event, Saturday, July 31, will feature the Jason Spooner Trio, Jerks of Grass, and Stream Reggae, as well as food provided by the Damariscotta River Grill. Check out details at http://damariscottariver.org
