With Maine's rustic countryside and picturesque coastline as their muse, Irene Plummer, Caroline Davis and Peter Asche have spent countless hours abstracting Maine's natural beauty into different mediums. Asche uses the unique relationships of color and shape found in stained glass to create a new vision of fused glass art, while Plummer and Davis employ traditional methods of oil and acrylic paint to create their stunning pieces of artwork. We will be showcasing all three artists, and hope you enjoy their enchanting work.

Monhegan Perspectives

Through July 31

The paintings of six female artists from Maine and New England will be on display through July 31 at the Damariscotta River Grill. Painted during a brief two week stay on Monhegan, the works were inspired by Monhegan's unique beauty and simple island lifestyle. We hope you will find them as delightful as we do.
